Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken (PC, PS3, PS Vita)
El próximo 15 de octubre llega a estas tres plataformas el nuevo juego de Ratloop Asia cuyo apartado gráfico y banda sonora ha estado a cargo de New World Revolution. El título es un plataformas de acción en el que deberemos acabar con el reinado, en este mundo imaginario, de los malvados pingüinos. Es un título cuyas cinemáticas son de los más recomendado para ver y escuchar, ya que están a la altura de cualquier superproducción de Pixar.
En un principio el juego iba a ser una exclusiva para descarga desde PlayStation Network para las plataformas PS3 y PS Vita, sin embargo, y teniendo en cuenta los orígenes de la desarrolladora y sus trabajos anteriores, era de esperar que llegase a PC tarde o temprano. Al final lo hará al mismo tiempo en las tres máquinas. Su precio rondará los 10 €, sin duda un dato a tener en cuenta, ya que estamos hablando de un título con bastantes horas de juego y diversión.
Mark of the Ninja (PC)
Tenemos algunos ejemplos de que la figura del Ninja no se traslada a los videojuegos de la manera más correcta, como Ninja Gaiden, que debe su fama a la acción desenfrenada más que al sigilo propio de estos luchadores japoneses. Y es que Mark of the Ninja es un juego muy oscuro en el que al inicio no veremos prácticamente nada, pero nos iremos adaptando a la poca luz que nos ofrece y conseguiremos movernos con agilidad por los escenarios en pocos minutos.
A mi se me hace como a una mezcla entre Abe’s Oddysee, Splinter Cell y Metal Gear. Me sorprende que el estudio creador, Klei Entertainment haya sufrido un cambio tan drástico en la mecánica de sus juegos, ya que sus últimas entregas fueron Shank y Shank 2, dos títulos con muchísima acción visceral y desenfrenada. El juego llegará a PC el 16 de octubre tras su paso por Xbox 360 donde ha cosechado buenas críticas y análisis muy favorables. El precio se acercará a los 12 €.
Zombie Driver (PS3, Xbox 360, Android) Ya en PC
Cogiendo un poco de GTA, otra pizca de Carmageddon y una ración de Crazy Taxi tendremos un sabroso Zombie Driver. Su paso por compatibles no lo hizo muy popular entre los adeptos a la conducción destructiva y los atropellos en masa. Por ello, la desarrolladora EXOR Studios ha querido transferir su trabajo a las grandes consolas de esta generación, así como al sistema operativo de Google, Android.
Zombie Driver es tremendamente adictivo. Los escenarios y zombies son totalmente destructibles, tendremos una buena variedad de coches donde elegir, incluso un autobús. La munición de las armas es algo limitada, pero hay muchos modelos para escoger. Quizá peca de demasiada verticalidad, algo que se le achacó al juego cuando salió en PC. El objetivos es claro, salvar supervivientes no infectados y llevarlos de regreso a la base, teniendo que limpiar algunas zonas de una plaga de muertos vivientes. El 17 de octubre estará disponible para su descarga en PSN, XBLA y Google Play por un precio que irá desde los 4 € de Android a los 10 € en consolas.
DOOM 3 BFG Edition (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
Estamos impacientes por la llegada del esperado DOOM 4. Id Software nos lleva prometiendo mucho, y haciendo hype a más no poder de su nuevo título. Y para amenizar la espera, nos trae esta semana, concrétamente el día 19 de octubre la remasterización completa de DOOM 3. El juego vendrá acompañado de sus contenidos descargables hasta la fecha, como la expansión Resurrection of Evil, añadiendo también las primeras dos entregas y un par de horas de juego extra inéditas conocidas como “La misión perdida”.
A DOOM 3 se le nota el paso de los años, sobre todo en el modelado de los personajes y la definición de algunas texturas, pero sus grandes efectos de luz y sombras, así como la fluidez con la que transcurre la acción, son dos detalles que no dejan indiferente a nadie. Además podremos contar con un efecto 3D estereoscópico que le da una nueva perspectiva a la acción. Suponemos que deberemos disponer de un buen monitor y unas gafas NVIDIA. El precio del pack con los tres juegos rondará los 30 €.
Sherlock Holmes: Misterio de la Ciudad Helada (3DS)
La nueva aventura gráfica para Nintendo 3DS del detective inglés más carismático de todos los tiempos, llega este jueves 18 de octubre a las tiendas. Reencarnaremos a Sherlock Holmes, que irá acompañado por su fiel amigo el Doctor Watson en una investigación por las calles de Londres. Ésta se verá golpeada por una misteriosa tormenta de nieve que congelará y paralizará la actividad de toda la ciudad de Westminster.
Deberemos averiguar qué es lo que está pasando y quién está tras esta descontrolada situación. Esta será la primera aventura de Sherlock Holmes en 3DS, y llevará este tipo de juegos a un nivel muy avanzado, utilizando para ello las excepcionales características de la portátil de Nintendo. Más de 100 escenarios, 70 puzzles que resolver y más de 15 horas de investigación para Misterio de la Ciudad Helada. Con un precio de 40 € se me antoja carete.
