A Classical Survival Horror, una historia con sabor ibérico llega al mercado del terror

No estamos en una época como para que las grandes desarrolladoras se embarquen en proyectos que, según se ve el mercado actual, no irían a ninguna parte. Sin embargo, aunque el género de los survival horrors esté de capa caída, un estudio independiente español le ha echado valor al asunto y nos deleitará durante este mismo año con su trabajo. Exploración, puzles, cadáveres y mucho terror se juntan para conformar esta aventura terrorífica con sabor ibérico.

Este género está viviendo sus peores momentos. Con las sagas Silent Hill y Resident Evil dando sus últimos coletazos, un estudio independiente español se ha aventurado a desarrollar una aventura survival horror en los tiempos que corren. Para ello han tenido en cuenta el momento en que se encuentra el género y han querido hacer algunos guiños a todas esas sagas de terror que nos han maravillado y, por qué no decirlo, acojonado durante los últimos quince años. Influencias como Twin Peaks, Psicosis, American Horror Story o Expediente X se suman a las franquicias ya mencionadas anteriormente.

Este título independiente ha sido creado por el desarrollador español Bruno Vidal Angulo, más conocido como ‘titobruni’ entre su grupo de amigos. Al juego lo mueve el motor gráfico archiconocido y reutilizado en varias ocasiones Unreal Engine 3. Lo más interesante es que A Classical Survival Horror será un título cuya historia trascurra en forma de árbol, es decir, irá cambiando el devenir a raíz de nuestras decisiones durante la partida. Por ahora se han confirmado cuatro finales distintos. Os dejamos con este interesante vídeo del juego:

Para entrar un poco en materia, la trama principal lleva a Henry Madson, un hombre de unos cuarenta y tantos a olvidar su nombre, por qué está allí y su procedencia. Aparece encerrado en una habitación de un motel que comparte con el cadáver de una mujer que yace en la cama y que, para colmo, él no recuerda ni qué ha pasado ni quién es o era esa mujer. Ese será el inicio rompedor con el que parte la historia de este título tan interesante.

Podemos afirmar que el juego contiene una mezcla de varios estilos jugables de aventuras clásicas en el que podremos ver tanto exploración y puzles como algunas armas de por medio. En cuanto a las localizaciones, por ahora sabemos que se centrará en Estados Unidos, en el motel antes mencionado, situado en medio de la nada y desde el cual nos desplazaremos por algunas rutas desérticas, principalmente. El juego llegará al mercado a finales de este mismo año para PC únicamente, aún no sabemos la fecha concreta pero yo ya estoy haciendo hueco en mi estantería.
