Para todos aquellos que hayáis visto Indiana Jones y el arca perdida, Temple Run os recordará la escena inicial de la película de Steven Spielberg. En Temple Run somos un arqueólogo/explorador que ha robado una reliquia y ahora tiene que huir de los guardianes del templo. Para aquellos que no tengáis ni idea de que os hablo os recomiendo que veáis la película probéis el juego y demostréis quien recorre más metros.
El objetivo del juego es recorrer la distancia máxima sin caernos por un barranco, estamparnos con un árbol o ser atrapados por los guardianes. Durante la fuga podremos recolectar monedas que nos servirán para desbloquear ítems que saldrán en el recorrido y, que si los cogemos, nos darán mejoras temporales como por ejemplo ser invisibles o correr más.
Como podéis deducir, la mecánica del juego es muy sencilla. Se trata de un juego 3D en tercera persona, en el que siempre estaremos viendo la espalda de nuestro personaje. Él no parará de correr así que lo único que tenemos que hacer es indicarle que dirección tomar, cuando saltar y cuando agacharnos para evitar los obstáculos. Para realizar esas acciones simplemente tendremos que que deslizar el dedo en la dirección que queremos escoger, hacia arriba para saltar o hacia abajo para agacharse. Para recoger las monedas, haremos uso del acelerómetro moviendo el móvil hacia la izquierda o hacia la derecha.
El verdadero reto del juego es conseguir todos los objetivos que se nos proponen. Tenemos una pantalla en la que podemos hecharles un vistazo para ver cuáles nos quedan por conseguir. Os aviso que no será tarea fácil. Otro de los extras que tiene Temple Run es la posibilidad de desbloquear hasta seis personajes y tres escenarios diferentes.
Como en la mayoría de juegos gratuitos, tendremos una tienda en la que comprar monedas para acabar antes el juego. En cualquier caso no considero imprescindible comprarlas porque la adicción de este título radica en picarse con los amigos o la pareja para ver quién aguanta más metros sin que le maten.
