Ha costado sacarle jugo al mercado actual de videojuegos, pero finalmente tenemos el placer de traeros cinco títulos que las compañías desarrolladoras lanzan entre servicios mínimos debido a las festividades navideñas. La mayoría de ellos son de corte retro, relanzamientos o títulos que llegan a Europa algo tarde o habiendo ‘puesto el huevo’ ya en tierras norteamericanas o niponas. Vamos a ver cuáles son.
Retro City Rampage (Xbox 360)
En Xombit Games ya hicimos un análisis ‘a nuestra manera’ de este título en su versión original en NES y Master System, y a muchos nos convenció bastante su temática y jugabilidad. Ahora, y tras peticiones de un gran grupo de usuarios jugones, la desarrolladora Vblank Entertainment ha decidido lanzarlo en la plataforma en línea de Microsoft, Xbox Live Arcade, el próximo 2 de enero entre todas las compras de Reyes.
Os recordamos que este es un juego al estilo Grand Theft Auto, con un mundo abierto construido en los albores de los años noventa. Un aspecto gráfico propio de aquellas consolas de la época y con una enorme cantidad de referencias y homenajes a la cultura de esos años. Sin duda, estamos ante una experiencia de juego dedicada a los expertos y los viejos en el mundillo. Por 1200 puntos Microsoft podremos disfrutarlo, a mi modo de ver, muy caro.
Unchained Blades (3DS)
Este título de mazmorras ha sido desarrollado por el mismo grupo que ya nos sorprendiera con Lunar y Grandia. La historia nos lleva a un RPG en el que seguimos la vida de Fang, un emperador dragón que pierde sus poderes en el momento en el que la diosa Clunea ve que el emperador no puede seguir con tanta soberbia y orgullo. Deberá recuperar sus poderes viviendo una aventura sin precedentes para él, en la que conocerá a diversos personajes, a cada cual más humilde y llano.
Tendremos disponible este atractivo RPG a partir del 3 de enero en la eShop de Nintendo. El precio estimado está situado alrededor de los 27 €. Conseguirá transportarnos a un mundo de fantasía en el que sólo los más astutos logran triunfar. FurYu ha sido la encargada de llevar a cabo este proyecto que veía la luz en tierras niponas durante el verano de 2011 y que ahora tiene su oportunidad en Europa.
Vampire Crystals (Wii)
Y llega un producto español, más concretamente original de Valencia. Hace una semana veía la luz en Estados Unidos y ahora lo hace en nuestro territorio, un juego para la decadente consola de Nintendo que ve cómo su hermana mayor se abre camino y le cierra las puertas a nuevos grandes desarrollos. De todos modos, este título se podrá jugar en ambas consolas, por aquello de la compatibilidad entre ambas. A partir de 3 de enero veremos en acción a estos vampiros valencianos.
Podremos descargar a través de WiiWare el juego por unos 10 € o 1000 puntos Nintendo. El juego está cargado de acción, mucho color y bastantes dosis de muerte, ya que no será fácil completarlo. Shanblue Interactive ha sido la encargada de crear el título con varios modos de juego, jefes finales gigantescos y subidas de nivel clásicas de un título de este corte. Veremos qué tal se le da el mercado europeo, porque el americano no lo ha acogido muy bien, aunque aún es temprano.
Air Battle Hockey 3D (3DS)
Este juego llega para recordarnos que lo retro aún está candente y que si queremos podremos disfrutar de títulos con aroma a los ochenta y noventa en el momento que queramos. Air Battle Hockey 3D no hace honor a su nombre, bueno sólo en lo de 3D, porque se trata de una especie de Pong en tres dimensiones. Las reglas son básicas, usa tu ‘raqueta’ o plataforma para desviar la pelota hacia el otro campo y conseguir meter un tanto al oponente.
Nuestras ‘raquetas’ irán menguando o agrandando su tamaño a medida que la partida avance, haciendo más difícil o mucho más fácil devolver la pelota. La velocidad también irá variando e introducirá un mayor ritmo al juego. Se podrá jugar en modo multijugador contra otra 3DS a través de su conexión inalámbrica y también en un modo ‘sin fin’ batiendo records de tiempo de usuarios de todo el mundo. A partir del 3 de enero 10TACLE Studios nos trae este título muy retro.
Rockstar Games Collection -Edición 1- (PS3)
De vez en cuando las compañías con algunas sagas o títulos de éxito en su haber, nos ofrecen una recopilación con lo más destacado lanzado hasta la fecha. En esta ocasión ha sido el gigante de la industria Rockstar el que nos trae esta colección de títulos para PlayStation 3. Podremos disfrutar de títulos como Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto: Episodios de Liberty City, L.A. Noire y Midnight Club: Los Angeles (edición completa).
Take Two distribuirá el pack con estos cuatro grandes juegos y nos trasportará rápidamente a la violencia y los ‘trapicheos’ de Liberty City, al salvaje Oeste, a Los Angeles con las carreras más trepidantes de la época y los años más gloriosos de la mafia en la California de los años 20. Un buen recopilatorio para aquellos que no jugaron aún a ninguno de los juegos, y que a partir del día 3 de enero y por unos 60 € podremos hacernos con él.
