El nuevo Tomb Raider es un más que digno sucesor de una saga venida a menos en los últimos tiempos. La esencia sigue siendo la misma, pero la dinámica y el desarrollo de la acción han evolucionado hacia un juego más cinematográfico donde las escenas no suceden porque sí, sino que tienen una gran profundidad narrativa que nos hará vivir una experiencia totalmente inmersiva cargada de emoción, tensión e intriga, en la que nuestro instinto de supervivencia será lo único que nos mantendrá con vida.
Walkthrough
La historia arranca con el naufragio del barco en el que viaja una expedición encabezada por Lara Croft con destino a la costa japonesa. Tras unos minutos de un vídeo realmente espectacular, despertamos atados y bocabajo en una misteriosa cueva. Para escapar deberemos balancearnos de un lado a otro hasta llegar a una antorcha encendida que conseguirá deshacer la cuerda. Estamos algo conmocionados, pero nos ponemos en marcha para salir de ahí y buscar a nuestros amigos.
Las antorchas serán un elemento esencial, ya que nos permitirán prender barriles explosivos para abrirnos camino entre las profundidades. La jugabilidad es muy fluida y sencilla, ya que iremos asistiendo a tutoriales que nos explicarán los movimientos y habilidades del personaje. La gran diferencia con respecto a otros Tomb Raider son las escenas QTE, o lo que es lo mismo, presionar la tecla adecuada en el momento preciso para esquivar peligros, agarrarnos a salientes o matar a enemigos.
También deberemos resolver un pequeño puzzle, con el objetivo de quitar las piedras que obstaculizan la salida. Cuando conseguimos salir a la superficie, la tormenta arrecia y decidimos buscar un refugio donde cobijarnos. En este punto descubriremos las hogueras, que serán el lugar en el que aprenderemos nuevas habilidades de supervivencia y mejoraremos las armas o artilugios que vayamos encontrando a lo largo de nuestra aventura.
Aprenderemos a cazar con nuestro arco y a recuperar las flechas que hemos lanzado sobre los cuerpos de enemigos y animales. Seguimos avanzando, pero caemos en una emboscada de unos hombres que parecen hablar ruso y que están armados hasta los dientes. Empiezan a ejecutar prisioneros, pero conseguimos escapar gracias al nuevo sistema de coberturas que nos permite escondernos tras las rocas.
Análisis
El juego tiene un aspecto gráfico soberbio y los escenarios están recreados con todo lujo de detalles, aunque hay objetos que no están del todo pulidos y muestran algunas deficiencias. Los personajes son muy expresivos y desbordan un gran realismo. El apartado sonoro también raya a un nivel magnífico, acompañando al clima de tensión que envuelve al título. Por otro lado, la trama te mantiene continuamente enganchado y los diálogos están muy bien interpretados, dando lugar a un ambiente 100% cinematográfico.
Por otro lado, los cambios introducidos en cuanto a la posibilidad de mejorar las habilidades y prestaciones de Lara están perfectamente sincronizados, permitiéndonos disfrutar de una experiencia conforme a nuestros gustos y forma de jugar. También es interesante la novedad de eliminar sigilosamente a nuestros enemigos, registrar sus cuerpos y pasar desapercibidos gracias al uso de coberturas que evitan que podamos ser detectados.
El único pero es que requiere una tarjeta gráfica muy potente para poder correrlo a pleno rendimiento. Tanto es así que en una Nvidia GTX 560 sólo podemos jugarlo en la configuración media, repercutiendo negativamente en la calidad de elementos como el agua, el fuego o el pelo de los personajes. De todas formas, no cabe duda de que la nueva Lara nos gusta mucho más y que esta nueva entrega supera con creces a todas las anteriores. Sin duda, uno de los juegos más importantes de la última década.

Hola.Pues deciros que el juego en ultra ó a tope.llamadlo como querais,gana muchisimo,lo estoy jugando de esa manera y es una gozada.Acerca del comentario de que no podiais sacarle maximo provecho con GTX 560 pues yo con una 7870 puedo deciros que es una pasada,el agua,la vegetacion menos,pero tambien es algo a tener en cuenta.en definitiva,que me lo estoy pasando jeje.Un saludo
Depende también de muchas otras cosas: procesador, memoria ram… lo que sí es cierto es que el juego visualmente es una maravilla con cualquier configuración. De todas formas, tu tarjeta gráfica es más potente que la GTX 560 😉
