Square Enix nos ha sorprendido a todos esta tarde con el lanzamiento de un tráiler que será igualmente mostrado durante el E3 de la semana que viene que se celebrará en Los Angeles. Con este nuevo capítulo de la franquicia de la exploradora más sufrida del mundo del videojuego, y que se ha titulado ”Turning Point”, el estudio Crystal Dinamics, ha vuelto a ponerse al frente del desarrollo, como hiciera con Underworld.
En el vídeo, ”La Encrucijada”, podemos ver como Lara comienza atada y debe escapar de diversos peligros que le acechan, en una isla en la que ha naufragado junto a algunos compañeros y compañeras de exploración. Algunas de las situaciones de peligro con las que Lara debe lidiar no han sido vistas en otras entregas de Tomb Raider. Estar atada y tener que huir sin armas y sólo poder utilizar las piernas para pelear, es una de los momentos de mayor tensión que se pueden apreciar en el vídeo.
En este último título de la saga descubriremos a una nueva Lara, una joven exploradora inexperta y que deberá descubrir por sí misma lo lejos que puede llegar para sobrevivir en el medio. Nunca antes habíamos visto esta trama en Tomb Raider, ya que este juego se basará en los inicios de su historia, de cómo se forjó Lara Croft. Aún no se han pronunciado al respecto, pero imaginamos que el gran arsenal de armas que teníamos en otros títulos, se reducirá drásticamente en este.
Como seguidor incondicional de Lara Croft, me ha sorprendido el cambio de estilo que han conseguido dar a la aventurera y al juego en general. Crystal Dinamics ha tomado nota de los consejos de Naughty Dog, y por fín podremos disfrutar de un título que mezcla personajes e historia de Tomb Raider con jugabilidad y gráficos dignos de Uncharted. Los usuarios de PC y Xbox 360 deben estar de enhorabuena por la llegada de un título así, aunque retrasado, el próximo 5 de marzo de 2013 a sus plataformas. Tranquilos los sonyers, que también saldrá en PlayStation 3.
