Resultaba extraño enterarse de pronto que Nintendo haría una nueva conferencia en diferido con material para Europa, después de haber tenido ni más ni menos que 2 conferencias en directo en el pasado y aún reciente E3 2012 y una conferencia en diferido previa al evento de Los Angeles. La Nintendo Direct, finalmente ha sido una sucesión de presentaciones de juegos ya vistos, pero con la confirmación de su salida en territorio europeo y sus fechas de salida, como por ejemplo, la del New Super Mario Bros. 2 para el 17 de agosto.
Entre la amalgama de títulos ya presentados en ocasiones anteriores y el detalle sobre que el nuevo Super Smash Bros. para Wii U y 3DS está siendo desarrollado por Namco Bandai y no por la propia Nintendo, surgió alguna noticia con un poco más de chicha, como los descuentos del 20% en los juegos más importantes del catálogo de la eShop, para celebrar su primer aniversario. Los títulos a los que se le aplicará tal descuento serán los siguientes:
Del 22 al 28 de junio: Pullblox, Zen Pinball 3D, Let’s Golf! 3D, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX, Super Mario Land.
Del 28 de junio al 5 de julio: Dillon’s Rolling Western, Freakyforms: Your Creations Alive!, Fun! Fun! Minigolf Touch!, Mighty Switch Force, Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins.
Pero, si esta presentación resultaba extraña y parecía no aportar nada nuevo, llegaba la noticia que le daba sentido al evento, una nueva versión de Nintendo 3DS será puesta a la venta en Europa este 28 de julio. 3DS XL, que así se llamará, vendrá con pantallas más grandes que la versión original, 4,88 pulgadas para la superior y 4,18 pulgadas para la inferior, junto al incremento de las pantallas y el obvio incremento de tamaño de la portátil que tendrá un 46% más de volumen, también veremos incrementada la batería, nos ofrecerá hasta un par más de horas de duración, según el tipo de software que usemos. En la galería de imágenes podéis encontrar dos tablas comparando tamaños y duración de batería entre la versión original y el nuevo modelo.
Finalmente, parece que no se han atrevido a incluir el segundo stick analógico, por lo que, si a alguna compañía se le ocurre poner en el mercado otro adaptador, con ese segundo stick extra para la nueva versión, necesitaremos llevar una mochila sólo para poder sacar de casa la portátil.
Su precio será de 199 $, lo que al cambio sería 199 €, porque ya sabemos que para estas cosas, el dólar y el euro van 1 a 1. Este precio, bastante competente, pese al incremento de las pantallas y batería, se debe a que en la caja de la consola, no encontraremos cargador para ella. Nintendo alude que seguramente, quien compre esta nueva versión ya posea algún cargador de modelos anteriores, pues sigue siendo compatible con los adaptadores de corriente de todas las versiones con doble pantalla de la compañía nipona.
¿Qué opináis de esta nueva versión?, ¿ Deberían haber incluido ese segundo stick aprovechando el rediseño?, ¿y sobre su decisión de no incluir adaptador de corriente?

Creo que voy a intentar hacer algún trapicheo con mi actual 3DS para hacerme con esta. El diseño y la pantalla son las que debería haber tenido la portátil desde sus inicios.

Totalmente de acuerdo, yo no tengo la 3DS aún, y a pesar de que la quería, hasta que la probé, y no me convenció del todo, las casi 5 pulgadas ahora si la convierten en una opción mas que interesante para disfrutar del 3D como dios manda.
