Wizardry Online es un MMORPG que se encuentra en beta abierta en la actualidad, es un juego que apuesta por otra manera de ver el género en si, le sienta bien, pero por ahora en esta beta arrastra algún que otro error grave de cara a jugarlo a largo plazo. En las siguientes líneas os contaremos un poco los primeros pasos por las tierras de este juego.
Argumento
El argumento es muy simple, estamos en un mundo en el que durante mucho tiempo todo se ha basado en la magia, la economía, el estilo de vida, todo. De repente la magia ha empezado a decaer, el flujo de la tierra cada vez es menor y nadie sabe la causa de ello. Se decreta una orden real, aquel que logre descubrir la causa, sera recompensado con el titulo de caballero y tendrá la vida resuelta. Obviamente miles de aventureros se apuntan a descubrir el misterio detrás de todo, y comienzan a explorar las ruinas de todo el mundo, las cuales están plagadas de enemigos…
El Puerto de Illfalo será la base principal de esta aventura, tras crearnos un personaje entre seis razas disponibles y cuatro clases bien diferenciadas (guerrero, ladrón, clérigo y mago), comenzaremos con un pequeño tutorial para unirnos a la Hermandad de Aventureros y conocer cómo es el juego.

Primeras impresiones y jugabilidad
La jugabilidad es a base de clicks, más como un Hack & Slash, que lo visto en la mayoría de juegos. A cada click lanzamos un ataque, tenemos una tecla para cubrirnos y otra para esquivar (sólo podemos cubrirnos si tenemos un escudo equipado), podemos marcar al enemigo más cercano para movernos a su alrededor, y en general es muy fácil atacar y defenderse (aunque con más enemigos es complicado). Podemos hacer party con otros jugadores (esencial a partir de la cuarta mazmorra) y por lo menos en la beta, no hay una excesiva dificultad a la hora de superar los retos que proponen las mazmorras.
Wizardry Online se basa en una serie de mazmorras partidas en pequeñas zonas con misión propia para continuar, en la que pueden entrar un número máximo de jugadores. ¿Qué quiere decir esto?, al entrar en una mazmorra, esta estará dividida en varias secciones (en las primeras son tres), para pasar a la siguiente, donde habrá que hacer una pequeña misión (la mayoría consiste en conseguir objetos dispersos por dicha zona), una vez conseguidos, habrá una batalla con un pequeño jefe y tras derrotarlo podremos avanzar a la siguiente.
Las mazmorras no suelen ser complicadas, ni largas, ni con muchos enemigos, pero al poder jugar en ellas un número alto de jugadores, farmear no es fácil, terminar las misiones de matar x número de enemigos se alargan, y en general, obliga un poco a mantener tu territorio o a rezar para que otros jugadores no hagan eso. Además del nivel en sí, también hay un nivel de alma, para subir de nivel de alma necesitamos conseguir puntos de alma, que se obtienen al terminar misiones, por lo que es complemente muy bueno para las mazmorras (vas avanzando y mientras progresas, completas misiones). Cada rango de alma da ventajas, llegar al segundo es muy fácil, pero el tercero cuesta mucho más, y los siguientes más aún.
Para mi, Wizardry Online tiene dos problemas muy gordos a día de hoy. El primero es que en cuanto entras a una mazmorra, cuesta mucho hacer cualquier cosa, la tarea más sencilla se alarga enormemente porque hay veinte jugadores más haciendo esa misma misión (y cuando tienes que matar veinte enemigos, es criminal), por suerte, a la larga, se va viendo menos esto, pero sigue vigente, espero que se arregle. Y el mayor problema, es que hay PKs por todas partes, un PK es un Player Killer, en cuanto subes a rango dos de alma, puedes matar y ser matado por otros jugadores. Si alguien te quita los enemigos, puedes matarlo, y en parte sería una opción más, de no ser por el problema de que a una mazmorra una vez descubierta, puede entrar cualquiera. Así un personaje de nivel 15, puede entrar en una mazmorra de nivel 7 y matar a todos los que estén dentro dando silbidos…
Apartados gráfico y sonoro
Gráficamente, lo que tenéis en las imágenes (es la beta con todo al máximo), puede estar mejor, pero hasta el producto final no lo sabremos. ¿Problemas que veo?, los personajes tardan a veces mucho en cargar (si no cargan hay como una niebla blanca hasta que cargan). En cuanto al tema sonoro no esta mal, pero hay algo que es un tanto pesado. Cuando entras en combate la música cambia, pero a la mínima que te alejas, la música vuelve a la de la mazmorra, si tu táctica es atacar, alejarte y atacar, te pueden acabar explotando los tímpanos.
