Ubisoft ha comenzado su conferencia con un vídeo de introducción de Far Cry 3, en el que despertamos en una tribu indígena en mitad de una isla desconocida. Más tarde comenzamos nuestra aventura en mitad de la selva, donde el protagonista se lanza al agua. Al salir de ella comienza a luchar, cuchillo en mano, contra todo enemigo que se le cruza. Luego irá recogiendo armas, tales como un arco (se nos antoja un parecido con Crysis 3) y seguirá su camino hacia las tribus enemigas.
Cuando el protagonista llega a un extraño edificio es atacado con una daga, que le hace entrar en un estado psicodélico en el que ve imágenes de alto contenido violento y vive momentos de incertidumbre. Tras este momento gameplay han presentado un trailer en que nos han mostrado el inicio de la historia que engloba este tercer título. Y es que el protagonista pierde a su novia en un accidente de helicóptero. Ella es capturada y él debe encontrarla pasando por encima de cualquiera que intente impedírselo.
Para todo seguidor de la serie Far Cry desde su estreno de la mano de Crytek, esta tercera entrega da un vuelco en la historia que continuó el segundo. Sin embargo, la esencia que lo hizo grande, una mundo abierto, ya sea una isla o una sabana gigantesca, sigue estando presente. Esta vez la desarrolladora Ubisoft Montreal ha tomado como referencia la primera parte de la franquicia en cuanto al mapeado, situándose en una isla con vegetación frondosa. Han tomado nota de Far Cry y de Crysis en cuanto a esto.
El peligro de estos lugares es que hay muchos escondrijos y nunca acabas de descubrirlos. En esta ocasión, vagaremos por una isla plagada de terroristas de corte haitiano, que nos impedirán llegar a nuestra amada. Durante todo nuestro trayecto nos iremos haciendo con las armas de nuestros enemigos y conociendo lugares extraños antes nunca vistos. Podéis ver un teaser del juego, con contenido PEGI 18, en el que nos resumen la trama demencial que deberá vivir el protagonista de la historia.
Esperemos que hagan un trabajo por encima de lo decente con la culminación de esta saga, ya que en Far Cry 2 “se lucieron” y no obtuvo los resultados que todos, o al menos Ubisoft, esperaba.
