Su argumento, nos sitúa en un futuro, aparentemente, no muy lejano, en el que todas las cosas que usamos están interconectadas, haciendo que cada persona sea un nodo en una gran red mundial, controlada por un súper-ordenador. Dicha máquina, está supervisada a su vez por las grandes empresas. Nuestro personaje será, por lo visto en los vídeos, una especie de hacker caza personas, provisto con un dispositivo móvil que le permite crear interferencias en otros aparatos electrónicos, o hackearlos para, por ejemplo, para hacer escuchas telefónicas.
Por su aspecto, parece tratarse de uno de los primeros títulos que se está desarrollando sobre el motor gráfico, Unreal Engine 4 de Epic. Lo que además, de ser cierto, lo confirmaría como el primer juego mostrado para la próxima generación de consolas de sobremesa. La demostración llevada a cabo en la conferencia, sin embargo, podría haber corrido sobre PC, información que se debate ahora mismo en las redes sociales donde el juego ha creado un auténtico hervidero de rumores.
Ubisoft no ha desvelado ninguna información adicional. No existen fechas, ni datos sobre las plataformas en las que se publicará, tan sólo una página web que reúne una puñado de imágenes editadas y el vídeo que os dejamos a continuación.
Es obvio, que estamos ante uno de los bombazos de este E3 2012. Segundos después de terminar la conferencia de Ubisoft el titulo Watch Dogs ya era trending topic mundial en twitter, y rumores sobre su posible argumento, localización (el más extendido lo sitúa en Chicago) o las plataformas en las que será lanzado. Incluso ya se han encontrado huevos de pascua, como el que se consigue al escanear el código QR que aparece en el vídeo. Ahora solo nos queda esperar a que todas las dudas se vayan disipando conforme pasen los meses y su lanzamiento se aproxime.
