Mucho ha llovido desde que vimos esa segunda entrega de Far Cry 2, lamentablemente de la misma no se recuerda mucho, bugs, un respawn masivo y muchas taras que perduran en la memoria mientras que sus bondades quedaron muy atrás. Desde el anuncio de esta tercera parte hubo miedo, miedo de un juego malo, mediocre, de más de lo mismo. En el E3 se mostraron imágenes ingame que asustaban por malas, y realmente a la larga no se esperaba nada de este juego, pero con una sonrisa en la cara puedo decir que nos equivocamos todos, Far Cry 3 es un juegazo.
Argumento
Típico grupo de americanos jóvenes que deciden pegarse unas vacaciones alucinantes. Ir de fiesta, hacer locuras en un país desconocido, en general, divertirse. Una noche conocen a un DJ que les convence para hacer salto en paracaídas en una isla que se supone desierta. Al final resulta que la isla sí que está habitada. Jason Brody y todos sus amigos son capturados por un pirata llamado Vaas y van a ser usados para pedir un rescate muy alto a sus progenitores.
Durante nuestro cautiverio, el hermano mayor de Jason (militar), consigue liberarse y ayudarnos a escapar, pagamos un precio muy alto y al final acabamos solos, en una isla hostil y con nuestros amigos atrapados en algún lugar de la misma…

Primeras impresiones y jugabilidad
La forma más rápida de definir este juego es decir que estamos ante un Assassin’s Creed en primera persona. Estamos ante un shooter muy bien hecho que complementa muy bien misiones principales con una cantidad enorme de material opcional. Misiones secundarias, conquistar campamentos enemigos, cazar bestias salvajes, asesinar piratas, hay cabida para todo en la isla.
Manejar a Jason es muy sencillo e intuitivo, es un personaje con mucha agilidad y será rápido acostumbrarnos a ella. Las armas están muy bien hechas, personalmente puedo decir que es el shooter con el que más he disfrutado de las armas, todas se manejan muy bien, sin esa sensación rara de que se va demasiado o de que no atina, todas valen mucho la pena y hay variedad para parar un tren.
Además nuestro personaje cuenta con una variedad enorme de tataus, éstos son tatuajes que dan habilidades extra a Jason. Matar más rápido, tener más vida, hay de todo, pero para conseguirlo todo habrá que darle mucho recorrido al juego, ya que la cantidad de experiencia requerida es inmensa. Jugar a Far Cry 3 es toda una gozada de principio a fin al menos en este apartado.
Apartado gráfico y sonoro
Una de cal y otra de arena en lo que al apartado gráfico se refiere. La isla se ve estupendamente (al menos en PC), a menos que se haga un viaje rápido no habrá tiempos de carga en ningún momento, algo que es de agradecer (y hecho con un curioso sistema de cargar sólo las texturas a la vista). Un mapeado inmenso y detallado que disfrutaremos en cada momento. Flora y fauna por doquier (incluidas muchas que no “aportan” nada, como aves) con una IA muy lógica. Y detalles flipantes como la propagación del fuego o unas explosiones muy realistas.
Sin embargo la otra cara de la moneda nos la traen los habitantes humanos de la isla. Y es que se repiten modelos hasta la saciedad (hay sólo dos de cada género) y cuentan en ocasiones con una IA horrenda. Pero queda atrás rápidamente con esos momentos de cazar por la noche con tu arco, en el que la jungla te atrapa y temes cada segundo por tu vida, sabiendo que aunque eres el cazador, te sientes una presa más.
El apartado sonoro está muy bien, cuenta con un doblaje reconocible tanto en personajes principales como secundarios, haciendo mención especial en Vaas, una voz que de primeras asociamos a alguien “débil” pero que muestra su fuerza rápidamente. La banda sonora es muy interesante, mezclando temas de todo tipo, pero que encajan perfectamente en las misiones en las que suenan, en la última viviremos un momento alucinante gracias al tema que se escucha de fondo.
Duración, dificultad y extras
Casi cuarenta misiones principales, casi un centenar de secundarias y varios cientos de objetivos secundarios para llegar al 100%, conseguir esto en Far Cry 3 no es eterno, en unas veinte horas podemos acabarnos el juego sin muchos problemas. Además parece que ya va siendo marca de Ubisoft que los juegos no sean difíciles, ya que he muerto más veces por caídas que por enemigos. Como curiosidades, hay veinte cartas de soldados del ejército japonés muy interesantes a lo largo de la isla y toda una base de datos muy completa (que como con el Animus, casi nadie mirará). En la versión de PC Uplay hace estragos.
Nos encontramos con dos apartados multijugador anexos a la campaña; el primero es un cooperativo a cuatro jugadores que cuenta una historia seis meses antes de la campaña principal. Un modo muy triste, objetivos ridículos y tiroteos contra una IA mala (el peor apartado del juego). Y el otro modo es el multijugador competitivo de toda la vida, innovando cero en todo, más de lo mismo.

p>Far Cry 3 es una tercera entrega muy digna, un juego que vale la pena, con una jugabilidad a prueba de bombas y, aunque mejorable en otros aspectos, sigue siendo uno de los mejores juegos de este año sin ninguna duda. Tenéis que probarlo sí o sí ya sólo por su campaña, diversión asegurada para mucho tiempo.

Juegazo, son fanático de los fps y con far cry 3 quede fascinado tanto en ps3 como en pc, gráficas impresionantes, jugabilidad increíble y la historia no es nada mala aunque podría haberse profundizado un poco más. Sin duda alguna hasta el día de hoy y haber terminado crysis 3, la porquería de A:CM (gran decepción de gearbox) me sigo quedando con Far Cry 3 hasta que salga bioshock infinite.
